According to chaos on 19th May 2012, the city hall of Udonthani was burn. It is one of another city halls which might were damaged arising out of political consequence or other issues. However, it is obviously that people do not love and concern their public properties. It might be because the city hall is just government offices. People will come and use it only when they have problems. Therefore, most of them do not cherish the place. On the other hand, at present, the construction work of city hall still uses the same standard of finished design to build in the province that requires new city hall, hence it lacks of identity and characteristic of that local.**The architect added more public space in the project so that anyone can come and use that space for meeting and educating to themselves and the officers such as historic court and library.
